What we do

Temporary roofs and weather protection.

The county's weather is the client. Fully sheeted temporary roofs that let the trades below carry on.

Boarded lift carried out over a garage roof to reach the eaves of the house behind.

On most jobs the weather is a risk. Here it is the client. Cumbria is the wettest county in England, and a re-roof with the slates off is a race you will lose in November unless something is keeping the water out.

A temporary roof turns that around. Strip the roof, work underneath it dry, and stop losing days to rain that was always going to come.

They earn their keep on fire and flood damage in particular, where the building is open to the sky and the insurer needs it stabilised before the repair can even be priced.

What's included.

  • Fully sheeted temporary roofs on aluminium beams, clear-sheeted for daylight where wanted
  • Free-standing and building-supported designs, depending on what the structure can take
  • Scaffold and roof designed as one structure, with calculations for wind uplift
  • Monoflex and shrink-wrap sheeting to the elevations as well as the roof
  • Gable-to-gable spans over houses, barns and church naves
  • Phased opening so the trades below can work section by section

How we stay compliant.

  • Wind loading calculated for the exposure at that location, not a generic figure
  • Designs and calculations issued for the project file
  • TG20:21 compliant support scaffold, CISRS operatives
